Networking, Security, and Systems Administration

Employment

Jobs in networking, security and systems administration are found in nearly every business. From small to medium-sized firms whose line of business is not necessarily technical, but which conducts their internal business using networked computers to large multi-national firms who depend on large complex networks of servers and client computers to conduct their business and service their clients, they all need network, security and systems professionals to build, maintain and support their computing and network infrastructure. These professionals design, build and/or maintain the firm's local area network and gateways to the Internet; they specify, procure, deploy and maintain computer hardware and software; they support developers of web and database applications. They provide the environment in which software developers operate. In short, they identify and take care of the computing and information needs of their users. RIT's Applied Networking and System Administration graduates are perfectly prepared to provide the support demanded by such enterprises.
